ROGL - Regional Open Government Labs

In 2020, the Federal Ministry of the Interior is planning an initiative for Regional Open Government Laboratories (ROGL). In up to 16 laboratories, new collaborations between administration, politics, citizens and social interest groups are to be tested. The BMI is funding the initiative with 3 million euros. The goal is better participation of all population groups in regional development and a more open culture of discussion, participation and disputes between local politics and administration as well as citizens, external partners and stakeholders.
